What is the Rimbit Pi Project?

The Rimbit Pi is a small low cost bit of Hardware, (based around the Raspberry Pi), which is a Pre Configured Rimbit wallet that can remain online 24/7, locked, but still enable the minting process (interest), using very small amounts of power in the process.

The Pi, can be a little difficult to setup and get running, so work was started to create a Plug and Play version of the Pi, that any user can simply purchase and then have running without little fuss.

From the initial sales of these units, it will create a platform for development to further enhance the unit, making the Rimbit Pi even easier to use for those "not technical" to go it alone, with the extra benefit of also enabling a greater adoption of Rimbit to countries that are looking for a low cost alternative to the expensive process of purchasing and mining Bitcoin, since Rimbit is not mined, but enables a user to instead gain interest on the wallet balance!

Testing will soon commence on the Rimbit Pi Wallet that is being put together by one of our esteemed members.

This project is ongoing and is priced for further Research and Development and of course continued development of the software.

A concept (not prototype) is envisaged to make the units more compliant as far as aesthetics for home use is planned for the future, which will require funding for tooling etc, that will come from sales of units, with discounts available for those who purchased previous units.

Of course the software will be available as a free open source solution for those wanting to build their own units, but support will be relegated to forums only, but is a great way to get started if you have the technical ability
